AND NOW, FOR THE CONTINUANCE OF MY STORY!

I've decided my angst is over. Really, I'm just kinda bored, so I am going to post more of the story.

(Artemis: Okay, Mosshead, the main character, was raised in a rainforest, and when he took his first flight, he was captured and taken, somewhere) Probably somewhere where people speak English. (Artemis: Okie, and now he's in a vet's office.) And that's where we continue the story...

The yellow bird has a musical voice like a bird, so I tried to ask her about where I am. It didn’t work

”Come on, you know you can’t resist this one. You said so yourself he’s not common.” The red bodied bird squawked.

“No. That’s final.” The yellow bird squawked. Then the red bodied bird picked up the nest and walked away, making very low pitched noises like an animal. Maybe he’s an animal. Who knows? And with that thought I drifted to sleep.

I woke up in a strange place. It was filled with bright, things and animals. I do not enjoy this. Then I saw it, a rainbow of feathers unknown to me standing on a branch, another bird, finally! I started to chirp very quickly, “Where are we? Is this a new test of flight? Do I have to somehow find my way home? What is your name? Mine’s Mosshead or it was until I flew, now my flock has to pick my name but I don’t know where my flock is. Do you know Rubytail and Sunbird and Softclaw? Do you know where they are? Ouch!” The other bird pecked me hard on my wing.

“Slow down, we are in a pet store, I don’t know what a test of flight is and you can’t get home, wherever that is. My name is Mojo and I do not know Rubytail, Sunbird or Softclaw. What kind of name is Mosshead? Your head is blue.” She looked as if that was all the explanation I needed. ”What’s a pet store? What kind of name is Mojo? Are you some witch bird or something? Mosshead was my name at my hatching.” Mojo looked at me like I had asked her something wrong, “You are in a pet store, they sell birds and dogs and other animals you don’t know for paper and metal the humans call money. You will get a name from the humans soon.”I was still puzzled very much. “Humans? I have never heard of such a bird.” Mojo looked sad again”Humans are not birds; they do not know our language, like we do. They stand upright like birds and have feathers that change colors but some talk like animals. And I understand what they say.” She puffed out her feathers proudly when she said this. I had to admit it was amazing, being able understand them.

After this brief exchange of chirps we preened feathers and looked out at the animals. There were hundreds, most of them my size. One animal had long things out of its head Mojo called ears. “You have so much to learn about the world.”

Okay, That's it. Maybe sometime I'll google pictures of the breeds my characters are. See ya.
